Video In is a not for profit video production, exhibition and distribution centre, providing its members with the production equipment and facilities, information, related support structures and environment necessary for independent video production. We have production equipment, studio space, audio, video and new media post-production facilities, and during regular hours of operation, light-technical support is available to producers as they work.

We are an evolving organization operated by and for artists and media/community activists." Since 1973, with the founding of the Satellite Video Exchange Society (SVES), Video In has grown into a vibrant artist-run centre with state of the art facilities and educational workshops. After you finish school, you may not have the income or resources to purchase your own equipment and cameras and will no longer have access to the schools, so its good to know what's available in the community.

This is an opportunity for you to connect with a local, independently run organization that supports young filmmakers and provides equipment, facilities, workshops and opportunities to meet professionals at affordable prices and nurtures a community of creatives.

How to get there

Access door in back alley, between 3 and 4th Avenue on Main street, a three block walk from the Main Street Skytrain Station.

- for those driving - make your way to vancouver via the 1st Ave exit and keep driving toward dowtown until you arrive at Main street and then turn left / south and drive for 3 or so blocks, turning right on 4th Avenue and park there.
